DAY 1 — Tunis Village to Magic Lake

The group meets in Cairo and departs by 4x4 at 7 AM, heading southwest into Fayoum. First stop is Tunis Village, a pottery village overlooking Lake Qaroun, followed by Wadi El Rayan's waterfalls — one of the only true waterfalls anywhere in Egypt's Western Desert — then Wadi El Hitan, the Valley of the Whales, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where 40-million-year-old whale fossils lie exposed in the open desert.

After lunch, the convoy dune-bashes through Qusoor Al Arab's wind-carved limestone towers, then continues to Magic Lake for an evening sandboarding session, followed by dinner and the first night's camp under canvas.

DAY 2 — Breakfast, then Back to Cairo

Breakfast is taken at camp, overlooking Magic Lake in the early morning quiet before the desert warms up.

Camp is then packed up and the convoy heads straight back to Cairo, with the group arriving in the early afternoon.
